College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus

What is College Credit Plus (CCP)?

Overview from Ohio Department of Higher Education:
College Credit Plus is Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to enhance students’ career readiness and post secondary success, while providing a wide variety of options to college-ready students, at no or limited costs to students and families.

Please visit the other sections of their website for answers to Frequently Asked Questions, as well as additional information for Students & Families.

Applications
If you are interested in taking classes in the fall there is still time to apply. There is a reference document available to walk you through the process. Feel free to email Mr. Michael ([email protected]) if you have any questions. Placement testing information is below for those of you who are just applying or have not been able to test to this point.

CCP Student Eligibility and Course Placement
The new CCP eligibility rules require a new applicant to have an overall high school GPA of 3.0 or higher OR pass the Accuplacer test in order to be eligible for participation in the CCP program. Our Student Success Center staff will work with Columbus State to confirm your GPA after you have applied. Once your GPA is confirmed you will be Ready to Register. Additionally, due to the current unavailability of reading and writing placement testing, students will also become eligible to register for all courses that require a placement in ENGL 1100.
