The center began operating in December of 1991. It was founded by C. Ray Williams, a professor at The Ohio State University and a visionary leader in the field of early childhood education. He believed that children construct their knowledge through the intentional teaching of play activities. Today, the center still holds true to C. Ray Williams’ founding principles, but has been innovative with its own evolution with the ever-changing field of early childhood education.
If you are interested in having your child attend C. Ray Williams Early Childhood Center half day program or Whitehall Early Childhood Education half day program for the 2022-2023 school year:
1. Please begin by filling out the Preschool Inquiry form.
Preschool Inquiry Form
2. Once you have filled out the form, please call the Preschool Administrative Assistant, Samantha Lascola, at 614-417-5680. Please leave a voicemail if your call is not answered in order to receive a call back.
These two steps must be done FIRST. Families will need to qualify for a spot before enrollment. Our Preschool program does have a wait list.
At this time, DO NOT complete an online enrollment application. Mrs. Lascola will be able to provide more information to you about the preschool programs offered and the next steps in the enrollment process over the phone.
