Indoor v. Outdoor Recess Guidance
When is it too hot?
- If there is a Heat Advisory, there will be INDOOR Recess.
When is it too cold?- Per our student handbook, ..." if the wind chill temperature is below 25 degrees Fahrenheit" there will be INDOOR Recess.
When is it the Principal's discretion?- The above guidance is non-negotiable, but the principal can make the decision to have INDOOR Recess if he/she so chooses.
- EX: Rain or mud...
- EX: Kae Ave may use 32 degrees because their students are so young.
- EX: Ice or snow still on the playground, etc
