• Graduating WYHS Senior, in good standing with the school for attendance and discipline.
• Plans to attend an accredited two-year Ohio post-secondary program.
• Complete scholarship application, to include:
          WYHS transcript
          Letter(s) of recommendation from WYHS teachers
  
  

Application Process -  April 15 deadline

Announcements of the WYAA Scholarship will be made by the guidance counselors. 

• Complete the scholarship application form & answer short essay questions.
• Applications can be completed online below.
• Two letters of recommendations from teachers and/or business supervisors.
• High school transcript.
• Submit all required documents to your guidance counselor.
  
  

Selection Criteria

• Application submitted by April 15 deadline - Online (preferred) or paper.
• Demonstrates the qualities of being a good citizen at school & in the community.
• Shows good work ethic, commitment to goals & tenacity through adversity.
  
  

Selection Process

• WYAA board members will select 2 finalists.  Student finalists will interview with 2 board members.  The WYAA board makes the final decisions after interview summaries.
  Note:  The selection committee members shall not have a conflict of interest.  If a member of the committee has a family member who applies for a scholarship, they cannot serve on the committee.  Donors shall have no influence on selection committee members
  
  

Payment Distribution

The Whitehall Education Foundation will send scholarship awards directly to the recipient’s school upon the confirmation of their registration.  
NOTE:  All awards are paid directly to their respective schools to be used for awardees’ educational expenses after the school verifies enrollment.
