As we approach our first day of “virtual” school on Monday, August 31st, we would like to officially introduce to our community, Mr. Bill Warfield, the new Principal of Whitehall-Yearling High School! Bill comes to us from Olentangy Local Schools where he was the K-12 Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction. Please read Mr. Warfield’s message to the WCS community below.
Dear Ram Parents,
My name is Bill Warfield, and I am honored to introduce myself as your new Whitehall-Yearling High School Principal. I am looking forward to working with you to ensure the success of your child. I want to let you know a little about myself, how thrilled I am to be a part of the WYHS team, and provide you with some information.
I have been in education for thirteen years. I began my professional career as a language arts teacher, football and track and field coach at Warren G Harding High School and Olentangy Orange Middle School. Following those experiences, I was an Assistant Principal at Olentangy Liberty High for two years and was Building Principal for three. For the past two years, I have been the K-12 Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for the Olentangy Local School District. I celebrated my seventh wedding anniversary this winter with my wife, Kari.
Our district mission here at Whitehall City Schools is to create success through personalized learning for every student, every day. My intention as the building principal is for our entire school community to live this mission every day. I intend for us all to work collaboratively to create meaningful opportunities for your child to grow as a critical thinker and problem solver in a safe and positive learning environment. We will work to help them achieve success both inside and outside of the classroom through academics, athletics, and the arts. It is my goal to get to know you and your child personally so that I am better able to support you and them throughout their learning experience at Whitehall City Schools.
