Whitehall City Schools’ number one priority continues to be ensuring a safe learning and working environment. At the most recent board of education meeting on Thursday, December 10th, board members voted on a motion to change the district’s educational modality in regards to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Whitehall City Schools Board of Education voted to change from their current hybrid model for education to a fully remote model where they will reassess at the next board meeting on January 14th, 2021. The remote model will begin on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020. Students will return to a hybrid model on Tuesday, January 19th, unless otherwise directed after the January regular meeting.
The motion to suspend interscholastic athletic competitions until December 18th during the November 21st emergency board meeting remained unchanged. Interscholastic athletic competitions will resume on December 18th.
