Student safety remains our number one priority at Whitehall City Schools. Due to the number of quarantined students in grades 9-12 as a result of close contact tracing, our school district has made the decision to require masks for those students and staff members effective Tuesday, September 7th.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law, requires that the Whitehall City School District with certain exceptions, obtain your written consent prior to the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your child’s education records.

As part of this process, it is important that input is gathered from school district officials and staff, students, and community members to assist in finding an individual that meets the needs and expectations of those stakeholders.

Congress has authorized The American Rescue Plan Act that resulted in the supplemental funding of the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER). The purpose of this funding is to assist local districts, including ours, to address safety needs and recover student learning loss.

Heart of Ohio Family Health is taking extra precautions to keep both patients and staff safe during the pandemic, providing masks for all patients, offering telehealth appointments, and even drive-up testing for those who require it.
