Jayne Shannon
Jayne L. Lawson Shannon was appointed to the Whitehall City Schools Board of Education in 2026 and brings decades of experience in education and community service to the board.
Shannon is a longtime educator who spent much of her career working with students in the Whitehall community. Her experience in the classroom and in education leadership provides a valuable perspective on the needs of students, families, and educators.
She has deep roots in Whitehall and has been connected to the community for much of her life. Shannon is passionate about supporting strong schools and ensuring that students have the opportunities and resources they need to succeed. Her long history in education and the community reflects a commitment to service and to the continued growth of Whitehall City Schools. She lives in Whitehall with her husband and remains actively engaged in the community.
