Yearling Singers

This select vocal group works for the highest standards of achievement in vocal sound and performance. Class experiences include sight-singing, music theory, and in-depth vocal training. Students in the choir go through a sight-reading audition and must be in the tenth through twelfth grades. The Yearling Singers have received "Superior" ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association State and District level contests consistently. The choir has performed with Capriccio Columbus working directly with choral composers Stacey Gibbs, Ivory and Caldwell and their music. They have performed at the Ohio Wesleyan University High School Choral Festival and for various organizations around Central Ohio. Other performances include Cedar Point and Kings Island and on tour in Chicago and New York City.
