Sonja Dill selected for Panama Teacher Match program

So how was your summer? Do anything fun? Really?! That's awesome!

Let us tell you what Rosemore ESL Teacher, Sonja Dill, did this summer.

Sonja was one of 18 teachers selected nationwide out of over 160 applicants to participate in the Panama Teacher Match in Panama City, Panama. This is a program through the non-profit organization Partners of the Americas. Their mission is to connect people and organizations across borders to serve and change lives through lasting partnerships.

Through the Panama Teacher Match program, qualified US ESL and EFL teachers work alongside English teachers in Panamanian public schools assisting in classroom instruction and curriculum development.

Sonja spent six weeks in Panama where she gained access to a new, robust professional network including a cohort of teachers from all over the US as well as Panamanian teachers and government officials. And she met some pretty awesome kids as well!

Great job, Sonja! You represent everyone at Whitehall City Schools so well!
