Levy Construction Progress

Levy Construction Progress

In November of 2018, the Whitehall community voted in favor of our combined bond and permanent improvement levy. We want to thank you for your support and want to let you know we take your confidence in us very seriously.

As a refresher, here are some of the things that are forthcoming as a result of the levy:

  • Add classroom space at Rosemore and renovate space at WYHS
  • Replace antiquated heating systems, installing AC, and improve security at Kae North and the Walter Armes Learning Center
  • Preserve storied athletic programs and traditions
  • Meet a growing student body’s technological needs

We are very excited to share with you on this page our progress of the things we have promised when asking for your vote. We will share updates and photos on this page as we progress so be sure to visit often!

April 2020 - IT Pathway Update

Even though schools are shut down across the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it provides an opportunity to get a jump start on some much-needed construction/renovation projects. We began the renovation of the IT pathway project which will be located at WYHS in the old choir and band rooms. These two spaces have been unused since the new high school opened and this IT pathway will provide usable space for our students to gain knowledge and experience towards a career in the IT field. More info to come!

May 2020 Rosemore Wing & WYHS IT Pathway Update

Construction is fast and furious at Rosemore Middle School. Due to the buildings being closed during the pandemic, the project is slightly ahead of schedule as the work continues. Here are some photos of the concrete slab being poured for the new wing that will be added to Rosemore Middle School to provide much-needed space for students.

At WYHS, the renovation of the old choir and band rooms continue. This space will be the future of our new information technology pathway for students!

Exciting things are happening!

Late June 2020 Rosemore Wing Update

ThisWeek News came out to take some photos of the progress at Rosemore Middle School for an upcoming story in their newspaper. Site Superintendent for Dunlop & Johnston Construction, Brady Thomas, gave a quick tour to RMS Principal, Rochelle Rankin, to show her the progress being made. We hope to be able to move into the new space this coming December/January!
